North Smithfield, R.I. (July 1, 2014) – For the third consecutive year, Banneker Industries, Inc. has been honored as one of the Best Places to Work in Rhode Island by Providence Business News and Best Company Group.

Banneker was ranked 13th in the small employer group, comprised of businesses with 15-49 employees working in the state of Rhode Island. The rankings were revealed by the business magazine on June 2 at an award ceremony at the Crowne Plaza, Warwick, R.I.

“As a company devoted to the success of our collective team, we are thrilled to earn this honor for the third time,” said Cheryl W. Snead, president and CEO of Banneker. “There’s a tremendous amount of fellowship among Team Banneker and that contributes to the collegiality of the workplace, the quality of our services, and ultimately the success of our customers. I’m very proud to accept this award, which means so much to all of our team members, and to thank them for all that they do to make our company outstanding.”

The statewide survey and awards program is designed to identify and recognize the best employers in Rhode Island and Bristol County, Massachusetts. The 50 businesses honored are determined based on responses to a 78-question employee engagement and satisfaction survey.
